We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Head of Marketing, Planning & Performance – Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). The successful individual will lead the operational core of our global marketing function for Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This role is accountable for aligning global marketing investments with business priorities, managing strategic planning processes, and driving performance reporting to ensure marketing contributes measurable value to business growth.
As a senior leader and strategic partner to the Global Heads of Business Marketing and Client & Sector Marketing and Digital Marketing, this individual will lead efforts in annual planning, investment modelling, marketing ROI analysis, and executive reporting, enabling insight-driven decision-making and scalable execution across markets and business lines. This role is critical to ensuring that marketing aligns with the bank’s global priorities and demonstrates clear, measurable impact on business performance. It’s ideal for a marketing operations leader who thrives on data, strategy, and cross-functional execution.

In this role you will:
- Lead the global marketing planning process for CIB, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, business goals, and growth opportunities.
- Translate commercial objectives into prioritised marketing initiatives, with a clear view of required investment, resources, and expected impact whilst coordinating the global marketing calendar and campaign roadmap across client segments, sectors, and product verticals.
- Oversee the global marketing budget across CIB, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and optimised ROI and develop and maintain investment models to evaluate marketing mix performance, channel efficiency, and spend effectiveness.
- Build and manage a comprehensive marketing performance dashboard tied to key business metrics: pipeline influence, client engagement, brand health, campaign ROI, and channel performance whilst delivering monthly and quarterly executive reporting to senior marketing and business leadership.
- Drive governance and operational rigor across marketing planning, budgeting, approvals, and execution processes.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of marketing operations, performance, or strategy roles within a global financial services or B2B environment with proven expertise in marketing planning, investment modelling, ROI analysis, and executive-level reporting.
- Strong understanding of the institutional banking landscape, including product lines such as transaction banking, capital markets, and structured financing.
- Highly analytical, with a strong command of marketing KPIs, business metrics, and financial modelling.
- Experience working in complex, matrixed organisations and partnering across business, finance, and marketing leadership.
- Strong communicator with the ability to synthesise and present insights to senior stakeholders.
