Equifind have recently partnered with a high growth and entrepreneurial European Alternative Investment Manager, close to the $10Bn in AUM mark. It has been 5 years since inception only, and they are looking to hire a EMEA Head of Finance through growth. Investing in capital solutions, opportunistic credit, CLOs and structured products. The role will have a dotted line to the COO and CFO and will be focused on the fund / PnL control side. Based on Pall Mall, London.
The firm is seeking someone with strong experience within Hedge Funds and confidence to deal with the investment professionals and Senior stakeholders on a regular basis.
The Role:
- Reporting into the COO and CFO of this fast-paced growing Hedge Fund, you will cover the following:
- The team is small, so directing and working with the outsourced providers is crucial.
- Fund PnL control, pricing review, valuation.
- PnL analysis, movements/drivers.
- Partnering with core finance, operations, investment teams.
- NAV oversight and analysis on trading strategies.
- Investor reporting.
- Working with valuation committee and assisting with month-end close and year-end.
- Continual process improvement and automation.
- Ad hoc projects, multiple projects in the pipeline.
Application Criteria:
- Qualified accountant/Product Controller (CFA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) - Ideally with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Alternative Asset Management, Hedge Fund or IM experience.
- P&L experience.
- Process improvement/automation mindset.
- Previous experience of working in a regulated environment.
- Willingness to get involved in the detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
