We are seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented eCommerce Director who will lead our overall eCommerce strategy and execution, while also serving as the primary liaison and relationship manager for our valued merchants. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of online retail, a proven track record in driving digital growth, and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster strong, productive partnerships with our merchant community. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping our digital storefront, optimizing the customer journey, and ensuring merchant success on our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to drive online sales, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Oversee all aspects of the eCommerce platform, including site merchandising, content management, user experience (UX) / customer journey, and technical performance.
  • Analyze market trends, merchant trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Manage the eCommerce activities, forecast sales, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and technology teams to ensure a cohesive and optimized online presence.
  • Implement A/B testing and personalization strategies to continuously improve the online shopping experience.
  • Ensure the eCommerce platform is scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
Merchant Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for strategic merchant discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing merchants, understanding their business goals and challenges.
  • Develop and implement strategies to onboard new merchants efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to scale and retain merchants.
  • Provide merchants with insights, best practices, and tools to optimize their performance on our platform (e.g., product listing optimization, promotional strategies, inventory management).
  • Negotiate terms, resolve conflicts, and ensure merchant satisfaction and retention.
  • Gather merchant feedback to inform product development and platform enhancements.
  • Represent the voice of the merchant internally, advocating for their needs and contributing to cross-functional initiatives that impact them.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in eCommerce leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on strategy, operations, and growth.
  • Proven experience in managing B2B relationships, ideally within a marketplace or platform environment.
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms, technologies, and digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
