NHS Lanarkshire invites applications for a Consultant Radiologist position to join our team of over 40 Consultant colleagues. The preferred specialization is in Chest Radiology, with proficiency in general radiology, Soft tissue US, and non-vascular Interventional Radiology.
The post involves work across three acute hospital sites: University Hospital Wishaw, Monklands, and Hairmyres. The successful candidate(s) will be primarily based at a hospital of their preference and specialty interests, with the post being part of a pan-Lanarkshire service.
Responsibilities- Participate in an OOH diagnostic radiology on-call rota (frequency 1:10 to 1:12), covering general plain film, USS, and CT. The overnight on-call service is outsourced.
- Engage in regional MDTs, including the weekly Respiratory MDT, and collaborate with regional cancer MDTs.
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education, with many consultants holding honorary positions at Glasgow University.
While a strong interest in Chest radiology is welcomed, applicants with other sub-specialty interests are encouraged to apply and develop their expertise.
