Location: West Midlands? Start Date: ASAP | Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per weekWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality psychiatric care in a secure setting, working closely with a well-established multidisciplinary team to support individuals with complex mental health needs.? About the RoleThe role involves leading on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of service users within a forensic mental health environment. You will provide clinical leadership within a collaborative team that includes an Associate Specialist Doctor, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and experienced nursing staff.? Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments in a secure environmentDevelop and oversee individualised care plans in partnership with the MDTPrescribe and monitor appropriate treatment, including medication managementMonitor service users’ progress and adjust interventions as requiredProvide clinical leadership and specialist input across the serviceEnsure compliance with relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act and Code of PracticeContribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement initiativesFull GMC registration with a licence to practiseCCT in Psychiatry (with Forensic Psychiatry CCT or substantial forensic experience preferred)Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician statusExperience working within secure or similar mental health settingsStrong clinical, diagnostic and leadership skillsExcellent communication and teamworking abilitiesIn-depth understanding of relevant mental health legislation and safeguarding proceduresIf you are a Consultant psychiatrist with a background in forensic mental health, we would be keen to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
