We are seeking a talented individual to lead our Mercer Marsh Benefits Business in Belux. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Mercer Marsh Benefits is looking for a person to lead this journey in BeLux. Someone who knows, and is known in, the market. The MMB Leader will work with the local MMB team; as a Business Leader you will enable them and support their personal development. You will collaborate closely with the local Marsh and Mercer Leadership as well as with your international MMB peers. A key objective of the role is to grow sustainable revenue and to achieve our vision of market leadership in Health & Benefits including in the Life, Pensions and Workers’ Compensation spaces.
We will count on you to:
- Be accountable for MMB BeLux’ financial planning and performance delivery.
- Deliver on Revenue and NOI budget by driving revenue growth and managing costs.
- Drive the identification, acquisition and retention of new and existing business opportunities to increase NOI.
- Manage client revenue by ensuring profitable client relationships are formed and maintained through the service the clients receive.
- Lead focused and disciplined business development activity in BeLux.
- Ensure the complete breadth of the solution portfolio is utilised to increase cross selling throughout the market.
- Collaborate with Marsh, Mercer and external partners to deliver integrated offerings.
- Ensure that the best of MMB solutions are brought to clients across the BeLux market (e.g. Workplace Health Consulting, Darwin - and others).
- Work with GBM management team to identify client segments with the greatest opportunity for new GBMs and any existing multi-national client where there is whitespace to convert in BeLux.
- Ensure a robust Placement function is in place, and have a clear plan to accelerate growth and improve the value proposition for clients.
- Drive strategy and development of commercial relationships with providers and insurers.
- Act as an integral member of the Continental Europe MMB Leadership Team, developing and delivering the wider MMB business objectives.
What you need to have:
- Significant business experience with a strong track record in a corporate, insurance or consultancy environment.
- Knows the BeLux Health & Benefits world and is known in that world.
- Effective communication and integration within client organisations and internal practices.
- Demonstrates examples of initiating thought leadership that drives commercial discussions around innovation projects and improves practice performance.
- Proven business development experience.
- Intellectual depth to translate concepts into reality and is a catalyst of ideas and change both internally and externally.
- People management and leadership skills.
- P&L management skills and delivery of profitable growth.
- Proven change management skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to understand current (and anticipate future) challenges and generate solutions.
- Strong leadership attributes including track record of creating highly effective teams.
- Ability to communicate in Dutch, French and English.
