The Role

As Performance Director, you will support the Head of Digital in developing the Bountiful Cow's digital performance team and product offering from the ground up. In this role, you'll be pivotal in shaping and developing a "Relative Advantage" performance media service that drives short term performance, supports long term growth ambitions and mostly importantly delivers business results. This is an opportunity to start from scratch and build the performance media service/product for modern marketing approach.

We're looking for a strategic thinker who is driven by data, not afraid of innovation and who can ensure all digital activities are aligned with client's objectives. You'll be able to lead both strategically and operationally, whilst overseeing the execution of integrated media campaigns.

You will spearhead best-in-class Performance media strategy, automation, and implementation across Paid Search and/or Paid Social & Digital Display. You will work with other digital leads in the agency and wider the7stars group to build a best-in-class performance team.

You will be someone who can work autonomously, as well as collaboratively with both the junior and senior team. You will contribute and lead department workstreams as well as playing a key part in the development of our internal processes and our professional output, identifying areas of improvement and delivering solutions not just talking about them.

You will drive best-practice across the agency as well as building, developing and mentoring a talented performance team. Bountiful Cow is growing fast and we envisage that a strong differentiated performance business will drive significant incremental business growth in this space over 2025/26 and the team to grow along with this so it's an exciting time to join the team.

Agency Responsibility:

  • Champion multi-platform performance media strategy within the agency, through company meeting updates, building case studies and other relevant opportunities.
  • Define and shape the agency's holistic performance media product, taking the lead on packaging that approach but utilising the knowledge and skillsets of the digital strategy team and activation leads.
  • Work with activation leads to identify new media opportunities that drive tangible performance outcomes via addressable activations and closed loop measurement.
  • Help BC planning teams identify performance opportunities for clients through holistic measurement and best-in-class use of ad-tech.
  • Develop methods of forecasting holistic performance media outcomes across multiple channels and walled gardens to help planners and specialists test different media mixes.
  • Connect PPC, SEO, Retail Media, Social and Programmatic performance through all of the above and demonstrate this through case studies, award entries and a clear approach.
  • Foster a culture of continual testing and optimisation with planning and digital teams.
  • Contribute to performance new business pitches.
  • Keep our clients and the rest of the business up to speed on the latest performance marketing platform developments and industry trends.
  • Devolve knowledge and the responsibility to deliver best-in-class performance for our clients to planning teams through education.
  • Ensure efficient, accurate and comprehensive onboarding of new clients, overseeing transition plans where necessary.

Client Responsibility:

  • Audit our clients' performance media activities across platforms working with other teams specifically identifying opportunities for future growth and development.
  • Conduct insightful analysis of our client's performance activity, identifying key areas for improvement and tangible business results.
  • Take responsibility for the strategic direction of performance marketing for key clients.
  • Develop relationships with key senior clients, attending high-level and business critical meetings as required.

Team Responsibility:

  • With support from the Head of Digital you will build, manage and lead the BC digital performance team, currently consisting of a Performance Manager and Performance graduate.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of supporting with exceptional performance through solid analysis, further recommendation and first-class execution.
  • Experience using Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. SA360 platforms experience is essential, including understanding of automated bidding strategies.
  • Experience using Meta and other social platforms, including TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest amongst others.
  • A thorough understanding of measurement, analytics and attribution within Google Ads, GA and SA360.
  • Passion for delivering innovation and award-winning work through implementational planning and buying.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, support team members, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Good experience in 3rd party tracking & analytics solutions, including GMP and Adobe.
  • Previous client facing media agency experience.
  • Knowledge of running Google shopping campaigns.
