Here we have an exciting opportunity to undertake the role of Area Manager for Goldcrest Cleaning Limited in the Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington Spa (and surrounding areas).
Current No Contracts – 13 across various sectors including education. Monthly Pay Place of Work – Home Worker. There will also be a requirement to travel to Head Office (Warwick) as required. Geography Covered – Rugby / Banbury and other surrounding areas. All business expenses will be reimbursed.
The area is one of our key strategic geographies and one that we are aiming to expand our business and acquire new customers over the coming months and years. The portfolio on offer consists of 13 contracts across most sectors including education (schools) as well as offices and commercial premises of various sizes. In all, the contracts support 18 cleaning staff with many of the contracts being undertaken prior to or after the traditional 9am to 5pm office opening hours.
Currently the position is for 8 hours per week with this figure reviewed regularly and is measured against the growth of the area and of course the key performance indicators of the contracts and candidate. The successful candidate will ideally live in the Rugby or Banbury area with their own transport being essential to fulfilling the role.
The role requires a committed, knowledgeable, reliable and experienced candidate who preferably has experience with implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and 14001. Experience with managing a team is also a key responsibility as the candidate will be expected to manage all elements of the contract including contract/service delivery to a high standard, site audits, stock ordering, client liaison, staff absence/performance/discipline issues and Health & Safety compliance and Recruitment.
The candidate will be part of a five strong Area Management team reporting directly to the Senior Area Manager with regular monthly meetings to review contracts and individual performance relating to their key responsibilities as outlined in the Area Manager Job Description. The candidate will be a team player and used to sharing best practice for the benefit of their colleagues and Goldcrest. They will also be expected to attend and contribute to quarterly Area Management meetings for company updates, training and compliance requirements.
Training & Development – After completing a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months, the successful candidate will be sent by Goldcrest to attend a course on “Managing Safely” a recognized and approved accreditation by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Pay and Benefits – The successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive package which includes a competitive hourly pay rate, mileage allowance, cash expenses and after a qualifying period, a cash benefit scheme provided by Western Provident Association as well as the option to enroll onto the company’s Auto-Enrolment pension scheme provided by The Peoples Pension.
You will require an Enhanced DBS for this role so you will need to be able to supply the appropriate ID and 2 references.
