What you can expect:
Join us in a key leadership role where you will shape and develop our UK engineering function while driving the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will lead a talented team, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute directly to the growth of GOLDBECK SOLAR in one of our most important markets.
Your tasks:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Act as the technical escalation point for projects and tenders
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations, client requirements and industry standards
- Review and approve engineering designs, calculations and documentation
- Support project execution from design through commissioning
- Coordinate closely with project management, procurement, construction and sales teams
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools
- Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development of team members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders
Profile:
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in engineering roles within the solar, renewable energy or infrastructure sector
- Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Strong understanding of UK engineering standards and regulations
- Experience with AutoCAD and PVSyst
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-sufficient and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to travel across the UK for project and client meetings
- Full UK driving licence desirable
