Senior Accountant (m/f/d) – GOLDBECK SOLAR Group GOLDBECK SOLAR is a leading provider of turnkey solar systems on commercial roofs and ground-mounted utility-scale PV power plants.
The company develops, plans, builds, operates, and finances photovoltaic systems across Germany, Europe, and worldwide.
What you can expect As a Senior Accountant, you will support the Finance Director for UK in overseeing day-to-day financial accounting operations under UK GAAP.
You will ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and seamless collaboration between the UK entity and our German headquarters.
Tasks Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (UK GAAP) and support Group IFRS reporting.
Manage general ledger activities and month‑end close.
Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Support audits with schedules and documentation.
Prepare management accounts and variance analysis.
File UK VAT returns and support corporation tax processes.
Work with project controllers on accurate cost recording.
Contribute to system/process improvements and ERP integration.
Supervise junior finance staff and act as deputy to the UK Finance Director.
Profile Qualified or part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA accountant (or equivalent). 5–7 years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within construction, engineering, or renewable energy.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and good understanding of IFRS.
Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Solid experience with VAT preparation, reconciliation, and HMRC compliance.
Awareness of corporation tax concepts (deferred tax, adjustments, timing differences).
Ability to work effectively with external tax advisors.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both UK and German finance teams.
