Our client has been a leading provider of window glazing solutions for the commercial and institutional construction sectors in British Columbia for over 20 years. Their commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative designs has established them as a trusted partner in the industry. They are currently adding a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to expand their market presence and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a deep understanding of the construction industry, particularly in window glazing or related services (HVAC, electrical, cladding, plumbing and other similar trades will be considered as well). Our client has an office in Surrey, BC and will offer significant autonomy in terms of work schedule (fully in-office or hybrid model options available).
Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze potential markets, trends, and opportunities within the commercial and institutional construction sectors.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations to clients, ensuring alignment with their project requirements and budgets.
- Work closely with the project management and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to the company's overall growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in business development or sales within the construction, building materials, or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
- Understanding of the commercial and institutional construction markets in British Columbia is an asset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Compensation:
- $70,000-90,000 base salary (negotiable)
