Job Description:
This newly created position reports directly to the Managing Director and oversees the company\’s daily accounting activities and high-level financial reporting. Responsibilities include developing and refining internal workflows, communicating with clients and vendors, and collaborating with all management levels.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting, finance, and business principles, with excellent analytical, interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic. The company is based in West Haddon, Northamptonshire, with flexible options for in-person and remote work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring internal controls, proper coding, and prompt payments, as well as invoicing aligned with client needs and payment terms.
- Correspond regularly with clients and vendors.
- Oversee monthly outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Coordinate monthly payroll with the third-party provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage month-end close processes, including bank reconciliations, accruals, deferred revenue schedules, and variance analyses.
- Lead quarterly forecasting and analyze variances.
- Maintain internal controls documentation and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and advise leadership on accounting issues.
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for audits and tax filings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Accounting designation (ACA or equivalent).
- 4-6 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in a technology environment.
- Deep understanding of IFRS accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with revenue recognition, IFRS 15 is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Great Plains, and BPC is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
