We are currently looking for experienced Fire Stoppers / Passive Fire Operatives for an ongoing project based in W1U, Central London. This is a great opportunity for experienced fire stoppers looking for consistent, long-term work.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with Saturday work also available for those looking for additional hours.
The Role
You will be carrying out a range of passive fire protection works, including:
- Fire stopping to walls, floors and service penetrations
- Installation of fire batt
- Applying fire-rated mastic and sealants
- Installation of fire collars and pipe wraps
- Compound fire stopping
- Sealing cable, pipe and duct penetrations
- Installing and maintaining passive fire protection systems
- Carrying out remedial fire stopping works
- Ensuring all installations meet required fire safety specifications
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship throughout
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience working as a Fire Stopper / Passive Fire Operative
- Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems
- Experience with fire batt, mastic, collars, wraps and penetration sealing
- Valid CSCS Card
- Relevant passive fire qualifications/certifications
- Own tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- References from previous fire stopping projects
