We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Delivery Driver to join our growing scaffolding company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely delivery and collection of scaffolding materials to and from customer sites, ensuring high standards of safety, professionalism, and efficiency at all times. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent driving skills, strong awareness of site safety, and the ability to work closely with scaffolders and site teams.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 1 / Class 2) in accordance with DVSA regulations.
- Deliver and collect scaffolding materials to construction sites, commercial properties, and domestic locations.
- Load and unload scaffolding equipment safely and securely.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured before transport.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery notes and transport paperwork.
- Follow all company health & safety policies and site-specific rules.
- Assist in the yard when required with loading, organising, and stock control.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and general upkeep.
- Represent the company professionally on client sites.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience driving in construction or scaffolding environment preferred.
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Strong understanding of load security and safe transport.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Experience handling scaffolding materials.
- Knowledge of London routes (if applicable).
