The Opportunity
You’ll be a key member of a diverse and experienced Mine Planning team at St Ives Gold Mine. Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Planning, you will be responsible for scheduling and planning underground operations, driving safe, cost-effective production in line with both short- and medium-term plans and the strategic goals.
Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and optimise production schedules and integrated resource plans across mining and processing operations, ensuring alignment with medium-term planning and compliance requirements
- Manage integrated schedules and track progress using critical path analysis and risk reviews to achieve throughput targets across construction and operations
- Assist compliance reporting and governance activities to ensure adherence to the site’s 3MS and planning framework
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline, plus a manual driver’s licence
- A WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency or the ability to obtain one
- Demonstrate strong underground engineering experience, preferably in gold operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim
