Electrician needed for a large well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Harwell. The successful candidate is required to hold the 18th Edition, Part 1+2 Electrical Installation, and AM2 licences, and should be a well-rounded professional who takes pride in their work. Experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare background is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all PPM duties are carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start, wait and stop completion, travel times, and appropriate comments to evidence completion of work.
  • Carry out maintenance on electrical distribution systems, generator testing, air-handling units and pumps.
  • Conduct weekly fire alarm testing, monthly emergency lighting tests, HVAC maintenance, heating and cooling related issues, electrical fault finding and lighting repairs.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed promptly to the contract administrator; complete supplementary documentation and E-Forms as directed by the line manager.
  • Update the customer CAFM system in real time with start, wait and stop completion times and provide full descriptions of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
  • Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and proactively highlight areas where improvements can be made.
  • Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms, issue them to the line manager, and record these actions within the CAFM system.
  • Participate in on-call rota.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical C&G or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • BS 18th Edition licence.
  • Part 1+2 Electrical Installation licence.
  • AM2 licence.
  • Experience with electrical systems in building services M&E.
  • Post-qualification experience.
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection (desirable).
