An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's leading main contractors, supporting the delivery of a major £100m wastewater treatment works upgrade programme in the North West.

Working as part of a dedicated site-based commercial team, you will play a key role in the successful commercial management of a high-profile infrastructure project that will help improve and modernise essential water services across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career with a recognised industry leader that offers genuine career progression and exposure to a variety of complex civil engineering and utility projects.

Reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial management of subcontract packages throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial administration
  • Preparation and assessment of subcontract payments
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
  • Valuing and managing variations and compensation events
  • Supporting the preparation of client applications and final accounts
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate project records and commercial documentation
  • Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance

About You: We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project controls
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach and desire to progress within a leading contractor environment
