The Company
Our client is a well-established and expanding main contractor based in Sheffield, delivering a diverse range of construction projects across multiple sectors. With a reputation for quality, innovation, and collaborative working, they are now seeking a Project Manager with strong planning experience to join their dynamic team.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in both pre-construction and live project environments. You will be responsible for producing and managing project programmes using Asta Powerproject, ensuring projects are planned effectively from tender stage through to completion, and providing ongoing support to live projects as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop fully integrated tender and construction programmes using Asta Powerproject
- Work closely with the pre-construction team, project managers, and site teams to plan projects effectively
- Attend tender meetings, progress meetings, and client presentations as required
- Identify and manage critical path activities and key milestones
- Monitor and update live project programmes, reporting on progress and potential delays
- Provide programme mitigation strategies where necessary
- Contribute to risk management and project reporting processes
- Support project teams on construction methodology, sequencing, and logistics planning
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with strong involvement in project planning
- Proficient in Asta Powerproject
- Experience working with a main contractor on a variety of construction projects
- Good knowledge of construction processes and project lifecycle
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving
