My client is looking for an Operations Manager for our Norwich branch to manage a team of engineers in the region. They will, alongside the Regional Operations Director and the team, be responsible for organising the engineers' diaries, day-to-day people management, dealing with customers once they have had a quote agreed, ordering materials required by the branch, and following all the processes to ensure that our customers receive a fantastic service.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead a friendly team installing air source and ground source heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers.
  • You will organise the daily operations of the team.
  • You will learn more about all the renewable products that we provide and support with their installation.
  • You will liaise with sales to ensure all installation information is correct.
  • You will ensure organisation and efficiency is maintained to a high standard.
  • You will work with the site team to ensure site preparation is complete and manage all work in progress through to completion and commissioning.
  • You will ensure that stock is managed effectively, thinking ahead with regards to ordering and deliveries.
  • You will communicate effectively with customers to explain how the products and systems work and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • You will ensure all information is collated correctly for commissioning paperwork.
  • You will liaise with finance to ensure they have the correct information required for invoicing.
  • You will support the technical team with faults and call outs.
  • You will manage your team of engineers.

Role requirements:

  • Operations management experience within a similar industry.
  • Line management experience with a team of engineers.
  • Stock management experience.
  • Knowledge of construction, building fabric, and renewable technologies.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service experience.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 packages.
