Renewable Energy Surveyor This is an opportunity to build a career in one of the UK's fasting growing sectors working for an establish national renewable energy companies supporting their Newark regional offices. You'll get exposure to a wide range of renewable technologies while developing your technical, sales and customer relationship skills. You'll be part of a team that is helping customers reduce their energy consumption, improve the efficiency of their homes and take greater control of how they generate and use energy. Responsibilities: Visiting customers in their homes to understand their energy needs, requirements and expectations. Carrying out detailed site surveys for renewable energy installations. Assessing properties and identifying potential installation constraints, obstructions and practical considerations. Identifying suitable locations for equipment and discussing options with customers. Considering cable routes and connections between solar panels, inverters, batteries and the property's electrical supply. Gathering accurate measurements, photographs and technical information required to develop a proposal. Using plans and survey information to support the design and specification of renewable energy systems. Completing or supporting heat loss calculations and energy generation assessments where required. Explaining proposed systems, designs and recommendations clearly to customers.Required experience: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Previous experience in a customer-facing, sales, surveying or technical role. An interest in renewable energy and a willingness to develop your technical knowledge. Knowledge of Solar PV, Battery Storage or Heat Pump systems. The ability to understand and explain technical information clearly to customers. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. A practical, methodical approach to problem solving. The ability to manage multiple customers, surveys and sales opportunities at different stages. Confidence using CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team. A proactive, positive and commercially aware approach.
