Mobile Mechanical Engineer needed for a well-known, large Facilities Management organisation based in Birmingham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mobile Mechanical Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Mechanical Engineering in diagnostics, repair mechanical systems, plant and equipment. Delivering PPMs for HVAC, Boilers, pumps etc.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ Level 3 Plumbing etc and have a keen interest in Mechanical Engineering. If you have commercial experience in Mobile Mechanical Engineering that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
- Diagnose, fault-find and repair mechanical systems, plant and equipment in accordance with legislation, standards and procedures
- Deliver PPM across mechanical building services (HVAC, boilers, pumps, heating, ventilation, water services, etc.) to required specifications and timelines
- Undertake minor mechanical installations, upgrades and adaptation works
- Respond promptly to reactive tasks to minimise disruption and contractual penalties
- Resolve mechanical faults and plant defects quickly to keep systems safe and operational
- Identify and specify spare parts, providing accurate parts lists and remediation timescales
- Maintain accurate PPM, reactive and breakdown records, including real-time CAFM updates and detailed job information
- Complete all documentation and reporting to required standards
- Participate in the on-call rota
What experience you need to be the successful Mobile Mechanical Engineer:
- City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 equivalent qualification relevant to Plumbing
- Post apprenticeship experience within a maintenance environment
- Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
- Previously worked within a maintenance environment
- Valid driving licence
- Experience working within an education, healthcare, or large-estate facilities environment. (Desirable)
- Previous Competent Person/Authorised Person experience including ventilation and/or pressure systems. (Desirable)
