Overview

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will oversee electrical maintenance and fault resolution for a large facilities management operation in Westminster. You’ll act as the site Electrical Authorised Person, ensuring safe, compliant repairs and planned shutdowns. Your hands-on expertise will drive reliable building services and support across single- and three-phase systems. Responsibilities

  • Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical systems
  • Act as the main Electrical Authorised Person on site
  • Diagnose faults, source parts, and perform repairs, inspections and testing
  • Support electrical shutdown planning, project works, and coordination with specialist contractors and wider engineering team

Key requirements

  • Experience with planned and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure in a building services setting
  • 18th Edition qualification and experience in inspection and testing
  • City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent Level 3 in electrical installation engineering
  • AM1/AM2 (Desirable)
  • CP clearance requirements: current CTC or ability to obtain
  • Ability to work independently and with stakeholders including clients and subcontractors
