I'm delighted to be supporting a long-standing client in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a lead role on a major 5-year capital works framework, providing full end-to-end commercial management across a portfolio of high-value projects in the region.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be based from the client's modern Belfast offices and play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, ensuring robust cost control, and acting as a trusted partner to both internal teams and external stakeholders across a wide range of capital projects.
As Senior QS, you will be responsible for:
- Full commercial oversight across multiple capital projects within a long-term framework.
- Managing cost plans, forecasting, budgets, valuations, and change control.
- Leading commercial reporting and ensuring strong financial governance.
- Building effective working relationships with the client, supply chain, and wider project teams.
- Applying your NEC contract expertise to manage compensation events, risk, and contract administration.
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement across the framework.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior level, on capital, infrastructure, or utilities projects.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work autonomously.
- Based in Belfast and comfortable travelling across Northern Ireland when required.
- Relevant degree qualification (Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management).
