Mobile Technical Operative needed for a well-known, large Facilities Management organisation based in Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mobile Technical Operative that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical building services.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification - i.e. City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Services NVQ Level 2 or Higher etc. - and have a keen interest in Technical Operations. If you have commercial experience in Mechanical Engineering that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
- Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and CAFM.
- Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
- To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
- Carry out Mechanical Engineering tasks.
- Fault finding, minor repairs and installation alongside general maintenance services.
- The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.
What experience you need to be the successful Mobile Technical Operative:
- Desired Circa 5 years relevant experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a FM environment
- City and Guilds - Mechanical Engineering Services NVQ Level 2 or higher.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
- Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
- Have good IT and report writing skills.
