Job Title: Junior Electrical Engineer Location: Barrow-in-Furness – 2 days on-site per month Role Type: Permanent Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience Our client, an established aerospace engineering firm in the North West of England, require an experienced Junior Electrical Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team. You will be part of a new team working on new technologies which are a first to the British Armed Forces. You will be involved in the development, verification, and validation processes, with a strong focus on Turbo Generators. ** Please note we can only consider sole UK Nationals (no dual nationalities) ** What the role of the Junior Electrical Engineer entails: Some of the main duties of the Junior Electrical Engineer will include: Writing technical specifications and supporting in the down selection and placing of contracts Liaising and collaborating with external suppliers and the customer Following design lifecycle management to ensure the delivery of equipment to specification Providing technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power system Preparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectively What experience you need to be the successful Junior Electrical Engineer: Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in electrical engineering or related field Experience with high power, medium voltage power electronics, machines, and drives Knowledge of power systems, including conversion, distributions, and generation Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Electrical Engineer to progress their career.
