An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a flagship energy project on the West London/Berkshire border. Working as part of an experienced site-based commercial team, you'll take responsibility for the end-to-end commercial management of complex civils, building structures and M&E packages on one of the UK's most significant live infrastructure programmes.
This opportunity would suit either:
- A Quantity Surveyor ready to step up into a Senior QS position
- An existing Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking exposure to larger, more complex projects with a business offering genuine long-term career progression.
In either case, the role will suit someone ambitious, commercially aware and keen to develop within the fast-growing energy infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities- Subcontract procurement and commercial management
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Variations and change management
- Valuations and final accounts
- Supporting commercial strategy and risk management
- Administration of NEC contracts
- Working closely with delivery teams across civils, structures and M&E works
- Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors on the project
- Experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, heavy civils or major building projects
- Good understanding of NEC contracts
- Experience managing subcontract packages
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred
- £50,000–62,000 basic salary
- £6,000 car allowance
