In-House Legal Associate or Senior Associate (Transaction Management). London, Competitive Salary. We are working on behalf of a global financial services firm who are looking for someone at an Associate level to join their in-house legal team. Ideally suited to someone who has perhaps between 2 years PQE and 5 years PQE. The role is very much a transactional biased position, covering a broad mix of deals across various sectors and asset classes. We anticipate prospective candidates will have experience working in-house, in a financial services firm or bank, or perhaps early stages in private practice and looking to move in-house. The overall role is to provide accurate, timely and commercial legal advice to the various stakeholders across the firm and take responsibility for negotiation, transaction management and deal execution. Negotiation, transaction management and deal execution for real estate transactions, corporate, aviation, shipping, infrastructure, securitization, etc.). Reviewing, negotiation, transaction management and deal execution for those transactions where we have not instructed external counsel. Providing legal advice to front line business units and service areas. Reviewing and negotiating loan documentation and other ancillary. Liaising with stakeholders and instructing and liaising with external counsel. Responsibility for providing advice on general legal matters and commercial contracts (including drafting servicing agreements, NDA\’s, terms of business and engagement letters). Supporting the business with respect to a range of internal initiatives, including client development, and writing the occasional article and maintaining and updating precedents and other internal documentation.Who we are looking to engage with: Transactional legal experience. Ideally but not essential would be having experience of working in house. European language skills beneficial however certainly not essential. Those who thrive within a team environment.
