Mechanical Supervisor needed for a large well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Halifax who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mechanical Supervisor that takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate will need to have a mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas etc) trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3.

What the role entails:
- Deliver a safe, happy & compliant hospital environment to provide the best possible patient experience.
- Being mechanically biased providing support to the estates team & working with the senior site bases.
- Supervision of Maintenance Staff: Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standards and timelines.
- Plant Inspections and Repairs: Oversee the routine inspection, servicing, and repair of plant to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, hospital policies, and PFI contract requirements.
- Contractual Deliverables: Ensure that maintenance works are carried out according to the terms of the PFI contract, including response times and performance standards.
- Coordination with Hospital Staff: Liaise with hospital management and clinical teams to prioritize maintenance work and minimize disruption to hospital services.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the use of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality service.
What experience you need to be the successful Mechanical Supervisor:
- Having a Mechanical bias (HVAC, Plumbing, Gas etc) trained to a minimum NVQ Level 3.
- Authorised Person position previously held or willing to take on roles.
- Previously held a supervisory or team leader role.
- A background in Healthcare or PFI would be advantageous.
