Joining an established and highly experienced planning team, you'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of major construction and infrastructure projects throughout Glasgow, the Central Belt and beyond. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, the role offers excellent exposure to projects at both tender and contract stages, providing the opportunity to influence projects from the earliest stages of development through to successful delivery. Working closely with project, commercial, design and operational teams, you'll play an important role in developing robust programmes, supporting tender submissions and subsequently managing programme performance during the construction phase. You'll be involved in construction sequencing, programme development, progress monitoring, risk and opportunity analysis, and providing planning advice to senior project stakeholders. We're looking for candidates with proven UK main contracting experience and a strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies and techniques. You'll be confident developing and managing programmes, able to understand complex construction activities and translate them into realistic and achievable programmes. Strong planning software experience is essential, with knowledge of Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or similar platforms highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage construction programmes across major projects. Provide planning support at both tender and contract stages. Prepare tender programmes, construction methodologies and sequencing strategies. Develop baseline programmes and manage updates throughout project delivery. Work closely with project, commercial, design and site teams to ensure programme objectives are achieved. Attend project and progress meetings, providing clear planning advice and programme updates.Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Planner / Senior Planning Engineer, or an experienced Planner ready to step up. Demonstrable UK main contracting experience is essential. Experience working on major construction and/or infrastructure projects.
