A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering a major offshore wind and renewable energy project in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a landmark clean energy infrastructure scheme, playing a key role in the commercial delivery of a complex, high-value project. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of key work packages, overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects from procurement through to final account. You will work closely with project delivery teams, ensuring robust cost control and effective contract administration across the lifecycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the commercial management of major infrastructure work packages
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
- Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and accounts
- Assess and manage variations, compensation events, and change control
- Oversee applications for payment and agreement of final accounts
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams
- Support and mentor junior commercial staff
- Drive value engineering and cost efficiency across the project
- Provide commercial support to the wider project team
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, civil engineering, or energy projects in the UK
- Experience working on large-scale, complex projects for a main contractor
- Strong working knowledge of NEC
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
- Able to work in Suffolk with flexibility for site-based delivery
- Starting salary of £55,000 to £67,000
- 25 days leave + bank holidays
