My client based in the Hampshire area are an innovative IT services and solutions company who are looking to recruit a Python Developer who wants to move into a DevOps role. As a Python Developer, you will be working in a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH. You will be willing to learn new technologies, grow within the company and progress into a DevOps role.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend services, APIs, and automation tools using Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.).
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab.
- Collaborate with other developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, or EKS).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
Certifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer).
- Network certifications (e.g., Juniper JNICS / Cisco CCNA).
