A specialist consultancy operating within the power industry is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join its established and highly successful team. The business is involved in the delivery of major international projects across the power sector, offering exposure to complex, large-scale programmes and the opportunity to work closely with leading clients worldwide.

As a Planning Engineer, you will work closely with key clients to support the planning and delivery of complex power industry projects. You will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining detailed project programmes, providing schedule insight, analysis and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
The role requires strong technical planning capability combined with excellent client-facing skills, as you will act as a trusted advisor within client teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
- Provide planning support across the full project lifecycle on complex power projects
- Monitor progress, analyse change and assess schedule impacts
- Produce programme updates, reports and forecasts for clients and stakeholders
- Work closely with project management, engineering and project controls teams
- Support clients with planning best practice, governance and controls
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key client stakeholders
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer on complex engineering or power industry projects
- Advanced user of Primavera P6
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
- Ideally experience within the power industry (generation, transmission, distribution or similar)
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative consultancy team
- Starting salary of up to £65,000 per annum
- Up to 20% annual bonus
