An exciting opportunity to join a global healthcare business developing innovative medical technologies supporting Women's Health and Fertility solutions. This is a hands-on R&D engineering role focused on the design, development and improvement of advanced electro-mechanical medical devices.
Candidates MUST already be based in Cornwall or willing to relocate to Cornwall at their own expense.
The Role: You'll join a collaborative R&D team working on next-generation medical devices, supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
- Design and development of electrical and electronic systems
- Circuit schematic design and PCB layout (Altium or similar)
- Verification & validation testing of medical devices
- EMC & electrical safety compliance (IEC 60601)
- Hardware/software integration and debugging
- Prototype development, testing and troubleshooting
- Technical documentation, protocols and reports
- Cross-functional collaboration with global engineering teams
What We're Looking For:
- Degree qualified in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or similar
- Experience in electronic design within medical devices or regulated industries
- Strong analog and digital circuit design experience
- PCB design experience using Altium or similar tools
- Experience with verification testing and design documentation
- Hands-on engineering mindset with prototyping and debugging skills
- Knowledge of DFMA and product development processes
- Firmware development experience highly desirable
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
