I am recruiting for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Project Engineer for a leading IT MSP (Managed Service Provider) based in West Sussex.
As a 3rd Line Infrastructure Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing and implementing projects for customers. You must have a valid UK drivers license and you will get to use a company car to visit customers.
Responsibilities:- The design, implementation, and support of various projects, to include Networks, Disaster Recovery, Office Moves, Microsoft related technologies: Azure, Windows Server, Hyper-V, 365, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
- Providing 3rd Line technical support when required to support the ServiceDesk.
- Creating and maintaining customer documentation when changes are made (Visio network diagrams, internal documentation etc).
- Providing Technical assistance to the Sales team and Pre Sales team.
- Creating scope of work documents.
- Project Management - ensuring projects are delivered on time and in line with the scope of work.
- Visiting client sites when necessary.
- Assisting in the research and evaluation of new products/services.
- Accurately recording time entries and updating tickets as they are progressed.
- Providing great customer service.
- Handover of projects to the helpdesk following project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Providing support documentation and/or training if required, enabling the desk to support the new system professionally.
- UK Drivers Licence.
- MSP Experience Preferred, but not essential.
- 3 years minimum experience in similar role/3rd Line support.
- Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, PRINCE2, Cisco CCNA.
- Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and current supported MS operating systems Server & Workstation. Install, configure, and troubleshoot.
- Good knowledge of supporting MS Office applications.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS.
- Advanced networking abilities. Setup, configure, troubleshoot switches, routers, vLANs, wifi, VPN, firewalls.
- Email - MS Exchange & 365. Install, configure, migration, and troubleshooting.
- Virtualisation - Hyper V. Install, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of domains, basic web hosting, SSL's.
- Good experience of remotely troubleshooting hardware including UPS, NAS, Printers.
- VoIP troubleshooting.
- Experience using Visio for network documentation.
