An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Planner to join a thriving, medium sized developer / contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality residential and mixed use schemes across London and the South East. With a busy pipeline of secured projects and a growing tendering portfolio, they\’re now looking to strengthen their planning team with an ambitious Construction Planner.

The Role

As Construction Planner, you\’ll play a pivotal role in both the tender and contract phases of projects – supporting bid submissions, developing robust programmes, and working alongside the delivery teams to drive project performance.

This is an office‑based role with regular weekly visits to active sites, giving you full visibility from pre‑construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and fully logic‑linked programmes using Primavera P6
  • Develop tender programmes and methodology documents to support bid submissions
  • Work closely with estimators, design managers, and project managers during the tender stage
  • Update and monitor project programmes, identify risks and opportunities
  • Attend regular site visits and progress meetings
  • Support project teams with programme management, sequencing, and look‑ahead planning
  • Report on programme performance and recommend corrective actions where required

About You

  • Previous experience as a Planner within the construction sector, ideally on residential and mixed‑use schemes but open to experience in other sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Good understanding of UK construction processes and methodologies
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with pre‑construction and site teams
