Shift Workplace Technician needed for a large well-known Facilities Management organisation based in London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Shift Workplace Technician that takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate must have a basic understanding of L8 or willingness to be trained and come from an M&E / Fabric Handyman background. If you have any carpentry/building/general qualifications in building services that will be a bonus!

What the role entails:
- Provide assistance to the Engineering Team as directed, including out-of-hours work when required.
- Support compliance and statutory inspections, fabric maintenance, reactive repairs, and FCU maintenance.
- Assist with furniture moves & changes, meeting room setups, event management, exhibitions, and flat pack furniture assembly.
- Undertake painting, decorating, shelving erection, and installation of power and data cabling.
- Provide engineering support including air filter replacements, water hygiene checks, fire alarm tests, and electrical shutdowns.
- Carry out daily site inspections, report defects, and support health & safety updates.
- Support quality assurance, compliance checks, and general housekeeping (both front and back of house).
- Respond to CAFM tasks, submit paperwork timely, and assist with servicing and breakdowns related to fabric and handyman tasks.
What experience you need to be the successful Shift Workplace Technician:
- Carpentry/building/general qualifications in building services
- Hold or be willing to obtain a recognized health and safety qualification
- Good knowledge and experience of MEP services and fabric repair techniques
- Basic understanding of L8 or willingness to be trained
- Basic electrical work knowledge or willingness to be trained
- Ability to work shifts on a 4 on 4 off 12-hour schedule (7am-7pm) and be available for overtime
