Central London | Long-term opportunity | Residential & Commercial Projects
We're working with a busy and growing consultancy that is looking to appoint a Contract Administrator to take responsibility for auditing and overseeing the work of Contract Administrators across a number of major projects within the capital. The initial requirement will involve work on a large number of building cladding replacement projects for a major residential developer, alongside the audit and oversight of Contract Administration on a significant sport and leisure facility. This is an opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to take a step beyond the traditional CA role, providing quality assurance, reviewing processes and ensuring projects are being administered effectively and consistently.
The Role
- Auditing the work of Contract Administrators across a large number of cladding replacement projects.
- Reviewing contract administration processes, documentation and compliance.
- Identifying potential issues, inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
- Providing guidance and support to Contract Administrators where required.
- Auditing the Contract Administrator working on a leisure and sports related project.
- Ensuring contractual procedures and project documentation are being managed correctly.
- Working closely with project and commercial teams to identify and resolve contractual issues.
- Helping to develop consistent processes and standards across the business.
- Providing feedback and recommendations to senior management.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong background in Contract Administration alongside excellent client facing skills. Previous experience working as a Contract Administrator is highly desirable, particularly within construction, property, residential development or another built-environment sector.
You should have:
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and contract administration.
- Experience reviewing contractual documentation and project records.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies or potential issues.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to audit the work of others and provide constructive feedback.
- A methodical and commercially aware approach.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating with project teams.
The Opportunity
This role offers genuine long-term potential. The initial workload is expected to provide 4-5 years of work, with the longer-term objective of developing the Contract Administration and auditing function into a standalone revenue stream within the business later on. As the service grows, there will be opportunities to take greater responsibility for developing the function, establishing processes and potentially building a team around it.
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
25 days leave + bank holidays
Private healthcare
Private pension contributions
If you have a background in Contract Administration and are looking for a role where you can have a greater influence on how a business develops this service, I'd love to hear from you. Get in touch with Matt Clegg at Gold Group to register your interest.
