A leading design-and-build contractor delivering a complex infrastructure framework across the region is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their busy and growing commercial team in Bristol. This business operates at a national scale, delivering high-value frameworks and capital programmes.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Project Commercial Lead, the Quantity Surveyor will manage a portfolio of projects on this high profile utilities framework. Project values will vary from £5m to £15m and you will be given the opportunity to put your own mark on each project. The role requires full ownership of commercial and contractual delivery, cost control, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare applications, valuations, and cost/value reconciliations
- Maintain cost control and forecasting across allocated packages
- Produce and analyse weekly and monthly reports on value, cost, and cash flow
- Manage supply chain engagement, negotiation, and performance
- Support risk and value management processes
- Administer NEC contracts and maintain accurate commercial documentation
- Lead subcontract procurement and contract setup
- Advise project teams on contractual and commercial matters
- Ensure compliance with project safety and quality procedures
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Proven experience with a main contractor
- Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract
Desirable Requirements
- Background in water or regulated infrastructure projects
- Already chartered or working towards chartered status
