Requirements
- Strong experience with SQL Server and T‑SQL in production
- Proven ability to optimise query performance on large datasets
- Deep understanding of execution plans and indexing
- Experience troubleshooting blocking, deadlocks, and slow queries
- Solid understanding of transactions and isolation levels
- Strong data modelling and schema design experience
- Experience working on business‑critical systems
Responsibilities
- Optimising complex T‑SQL queries across large datasets
- Designing and maintaining effective indexing strategies
- Analysing execution plans and resolving performance bottlenecks
- Investigating and fixing production issues, including blocking, deadlocks, and slow queries
- Improving database schema design and data integrity
- Supporting safe and efficient database changes and deployments
- Collaborating with engineers to ensure efficient data access patterns
