A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team delivering a major transport and highways improvement programme across the West Midlands. This is a high-profile, multi-scheme programme focused on upgrading key transport routes and infrastructure, offering long-term stability, complex project exposure, and excellent career progression within a well-established contractor.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple work packages within a fast-paced infrastructure environment. You'll work closely with operational teams and the client, ensuring robust cost control, contract compliance, and effective commercial delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
A strong working knowledge of NEC contracts is essential, as you will play a key role in managing compensation events, change control, and contractual communications.
- Lead the commercial management of a multimillion £ transportation project in the West Midlands
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts
- Carry out contract administration (NEC)
- Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts, and final accounts
- Assess, manage, and negotiate compensation events and variations

- Support and mentor junior commercial team members
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, highways, or civil engineering projects in the UK is required, along with excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
