Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage pre- and post-contract duties across residential and commercial schemes. The position demands a strong understanding of cost management principles, contract administration, and project lifecycle delivery within a PQS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare budget estimates and elemental cost plans
  • Produce pricing documents and bills of quantities
  • Review and analyse contractors' tender submissions
  • Prepare evaluation reports and tender recommendations
  • Draft and administer contract documentation under JCT and NEC forms
  • Manage interim valuations and final account settlements
  • Support junior team members where appropriate

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • 2-5 years' experience in a PQS role
  • Sound knowledge of cost planning and project financial control
  • Experience with standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC)
  • Progress toward RICS chartership (APC in progress or recently completed)
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills
  • Right to work in the UK
