A dynamic and growing consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join its established project controls team, supporting the delivery of complex engineering projects within the nuclear sector. Working alongside a highly experienced group of planners and project controls professionals, you will play a key role in developing, managing and controlling programmes on technically challenging and highly regulated projects. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative consultancy environment, providing planning expertise across the full project lifecycle. Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered. Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must hold BPSS security clearance (or above) to be eligible. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planning Engineer with nuclear experience looking to work in a technically challenging environment with a consultancy that values expertise, collaboration and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
- Provide planning support across the full project lifecycle, from early development through to delivery
- Integrate schedule, risk and cost information to support informed decision-making
- Monitor progress, analyse change and provide impact assessments
- Support project teams with programme updates, reporting and forecasting
- Work closely with engineering, project management and project controls teams
- Ensure planning processes align with nuclear sector standards, governance and best practice
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Planning Engineer within the nuclear sector or complex engineering environments
- Advanced user of Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of project controls principles and planning methodologies
- Experience working within a consultancy or multi-project environment
- BPSS security clearance (or higher) is essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and clients
