South West Water's long-term infrastructure framework is delivering a 5 year programme of upgrades across Somerset - and the contractor running it is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a varied portfolio of projects along the M5 corridor.
As a key member of my clients commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor will be working across pipework installation, bulk earthworks, civils upgrades, and tank and processing equipment replacement - with the added responsibility of supporting and mentoring a Graduate QS.
The Quantity Surveyor will manage the full commercial lifecycle across multiple concurrent projects, from tender through to final account, with a strong focus on NEC contract administration and proactive commercial management.
- End-to-end commercial management of infrastructure projects
- NEC contract administration, including change control and compensation event management
- Cost forecasting, budget control and commercial reporting
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Collaborating closely with operational teams to maximise commercial performance
- Mentoring and supporting a Graduate QS through day-to-day commercial activity
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, utilities or civils
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
