An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in London. Joining an established and highly experienced planning team, you will provide planning support to a portfolio of Central London projects across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare and life sciences. This is a varied and engaging role, offering exposure to both tender-stage planning and live project delivery on complex, technically challenging schemes.
As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will work closely with project, commercial and delivery teams to develop, manage and maintain robust programmes, ensuring works are effectively planned, coordinated and controlled. You will play a key role in shaping methodologies, managing interfaces, monitoring progress and supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planning Engineer looking to further develop their career with a market-leading M&E contractor delivering some of London’s most high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using Asta Powerproject
- Provide planning input at tender stage, including programme development and methodology support
- Manage and update live project programmes, progress reporting and change management
- Work closely with site teams to ensure programmes are realistic, achievable and aligned with delivery strategy
- Support project teams with delay analysis, reporting and mitigation measures
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to communicate programme status and key risks
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer / Senior Planning Engineer within an M&E contracting environment
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical background with experience on complex building services projects
- Proficient user of Asta Powerproject
- Experience working on projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, life sciences or similar
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities
- £80-110,000 per annum
- Annual car allowance £7,000 or choice of company car
- 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
