Job Description

Title: Project Controls Manager

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 3 days on site / 2 days remote)

Salary: up to £75,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Project Controls Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking consultancy supporting one of the UK’s most complex multi-billion-pound infrastructure projects, based in Birmingham. This is a rare chance to work at the heart of a major programme that will shape the future of the region, joining an established team of experienced professionals dedicated to delivering excellence.

As Project Controls Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the project — leading on all aspects of project controls including planning, cost management, risk, change, and reporting. You’ll provide clear insight and governance across multiple workstreams, ensuring performance is measured, issues are anticipated, and solutions are implemented to keep the project on track.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven professional with a strong background in project controls within large-scale infrastructure or engineering environments. You’ll bring technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Duties

  • Lead and integrate all areas of project controls: cost management, planning/scheduling, risk, and change control
  • Develop and maintain robust project control frameworks and reporting systems
  • Provide accurate forecasting, trend analysis, and performance insights to support project decision-making
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of cost, schedule, and risk data
