Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: London OR Dorset – Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite) Term: 6 Months IR35: INSIDE Hourly Rate: £DOE Key Skills: Systems Engineering, Requirements, DOORS, Design Reviews, Documentation, Complex Systems, Stakeholder Management The Role: We are seeking an experienced Contract Systems Engineer to support a key MoD supplier for our client. This role is ideal for a pragmatic, confident self-starter who thrives in complex, evolving environments and brings broad experience delivering advanced systems to defence customers. So, what will you be doing as a Systems Engineer? Lead and support the development and delivery of formal engineering documentation in line with defence and customer requirements. Engage directly with the customer in proactively raising and managing issues such as scope changes or technical concerns. Navigate and manage ambiguity in system requirements, architecture, and integration phases. Ensure systems engineering best practices are applied throughout the project lifecycle. What are we looking for in our next Systems Engineer? Have a proven track record delivering complex systems into defence clients. Strong systems engineering background, with hands-on experience writing and managing formal technical documentation. Able to operate confidently and diplomatically when challenging scope increases or ambiguous requests.
