Investment Associate / VP / Director, London
Salary Circa £120,000 – £180,000 Plus Bonus, Carry, Package (salary to be discussed on a case by case basis and will depend on experience)
We have an exciting new role open within a boutique nimble and active credit fund located in central London who are interviewing professionals from Associate up to Director level.
The role is to find someone who works within the general credit investment space, please note at this stage we are unable to consider those on the equity side and also unable to consider those on the sell side.
It is expected that you will have been working within the distressed debt space for a minimum of 5 years, hold a strong academic track record, and be confident in sourcing and executing deals across the European opportunistic space.
This is a highly successful boutique practice who can offer a fantastic career path and platform to continue your learning, high activity levels, now on fund 3, and capital to deploy.
On offer will be a very competitive salary and bonus package along with interest in deals to attract the best person for the role.
Who we are looking for:
- Someone used to underwriting complex situations from scratch (essential).
- You currently work within the opportunistic credit investment space.
- You currently sit within the mid-cap credit investment space.
- You have a track record and history to date of looking at deals across Europe.
- Must have experience of working on European opportunistic deals.
- Ideally but not essential would be to have a 2nd European language skill.
- Educated to a high standard.
- Highly analytical.
- Prepared to see a deal from cradle to grave.
What we are not looking for:
- Those involved within 1 investment vertical such as mining or infr. We need to attract talent with broader deal experience and not just one avenue.
- We are not looking for those involved in deals outside of Europe.
- We are not looking for Equity heavy investment candidates.
- We are not looking for those involved in co-investing.
- We are not looking for those sitting on the direct lending / banking / advisory / sell side.
- We are not looking for those on the Sponsor coverage side.
We will need applicants who are confident in sourcing and executing deals. Those able to confidently put together a basic investment model for a new credit, able to competently present to committee, detailing areas such as thesis, risk, cap structure, returns, financials etc.
