This is an opportunity to work on projects that genuinely matter — ranging from large-scale refurbishments to technically complex new-build construction — supporting critical maritime and land capabilities.

The Role:

You’ll take full responsibility for delivering a portfolio of estates and construction projects (c. £5m+ per annum), ensuring commitments to internal and external stakeholders are met across a diverse and complex delivery landscape. Projects range from general building refurbishments through to highly technical infrastructure and new-build developments within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager:

  • Lead delivery of high-value and complex construction/refurbishment projects
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple customers, partners, and suppliers
  • Define and control project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans
  • Maintain accurate reporting and project documentation (bids, proposals, third-party documentation)
  • Apply robust risk management and quality control processes
  • Ensure safe, secure, and compliant project execution

Essential Experience as a Senior Project Manager:

  • Delivery of projects for multiple customers (up to 3 concurrently)
  • Construction/refurbishment delivery aligned to RIBA stages
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, JSP standards, environmental & ecological legislation
  • Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
  • Extensive experience operating under CDM Regulations, acting as Client or similar duty holder
  • Broad understanding of civil engineering, infrastructure, and building works methodologies

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recognised Project Management qualification (APM PPQ or PRINCE2)
  • Demonstrable capability equivalent to IPMA Level B

What’s On Offer:

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunity to work on nationally significant, technically challenging projects
  • Exposure to complex stakeholder environments within a secure, high-impact sector
  • Career progression within a large, innovative organisation

If you’re a confident Senior Project Manager with strong construction and estates expertise and you’re looking for your next high-impact challenge, I’d love to hear from you.

PLEASE NOTE: Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to gain is required to be considered for this vacancy.
