I am recruiting in Warwickshire for a technically strong Head of IT to lead the regional IT function, ensuring alignment with global strategy and operational excellence across the UK & ROI. The successful candidate will oversee infrastructure, compliance, and service delivery, managing both people and processes within a complex, fast-evolving environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate IT operations across all business units in the UK & ROI.
- Act as the regional point of contact for global IT initiatives, standards, and decisions.
- Oversee a team of approximately 16 IT professionals and external partners.
- Manage IT transformation, integration, and migration projects.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 14001.
- Maintain robust IT security, network resilience, and system availability.
- Oversee user support following ITIL frameworks, including call centre operations (Freshdesk).
- Manage hardware/software assets, Fortinet platforms, and Office 365 environments.
- Administer budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years’ IT management experience, including team leadership (up to 30 people).
- Degree or equivalent professional experience; Microsoft and Cisco certifications desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of ITIL, networking (WAN, LAN, WLAN), and security best practices.
- Experience delivering large-scale IT projects and supporting business transformation.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at board and global levels.
