Join a pioneering engineering technology leader as the Electronics Technical Design Authority, where you’ll play a critical role in shaping and delivering complex, high-integrity electronic systems. About the Role:
As a senior technical authority, you will lead the architecture, development, and governance of advanced electronic and electrical solutions. You will guide technical teams, influence strategy, and ensure the delivery of robust, compliant systems that meet the highest standards of performance and quality.
Key Responsibilities as the Electronics Technical Design Authority:
- Define and implement high-integrity electronic/electrical architectures for safety-critical applications.
- Lead concept development, schematic design, PCB layout, integration, and environmental qualification.
- Ensure designs meet rigorous EMC, EMI, and environmental compliance standards.
- Champion Design for Excellence principles—ensuring supportability, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Lead formal design reviews (PDRs, CDRs) to ensure robust technical governance.
- Drive engineering alignment with business strategy and project delivery.
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives related to processes, tools, and compliance.
Essential Skills and Experience as the Electronics Technical Design Authority:
- Have significant hands-on experience in electronic design, including complex multi-layer PCB development, power management, analogue/digital systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Have a deep understanding of product lifecycle, with the ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining technical integrity.
